A little drizzle didn’t stop the Bayport-Blue Point community from showing its Phantom pride during the high school’s Homecoming game on Sept. 28.
Students, staff, families and community members filled Bob Sullivan Field to cheer on the Bayport-Blue Point Phantoms as they took on the Babylon High School Panthers.
The Phantoms gave the home crowd plenty to cheer about, taking control of the matchup and keeping the Panthers off the scoreboard. At halftime, the school spirit continued with performances from the Bayport-Blue Point High School varsity cheer team and dance team.
Bayport-Blue Point closed out the evening with a 23-0 victory over Babylon, adding a Homecoming win to the Phantoms’ season. The district will continue its Homecoming festivities with its annual parade on Oct. 23.
