Bayport-Blue Point student-musicians are hitting all the right notes, with several students earning spots in prestigious music festivals at the state and county levels this year.
At the state level, Bayport-Blue Point High School student Quinn L. was selected to perform with the Mixed Chorus at the 2026 New York State School Music Association All-State Festival. The annual festival brings together accomplisland student-musicians from across New York State following a competitive selection process. Hannah W. was also recognized as an alternate for Soprano 1.
Four high school students were selected for the 2026 New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education/Suffolk All-County Festival. Kaylee D. was selected for Soprano 2, Landon H. for Tenor 2, Quinn L. for Bass 1 and Hannah W. for Soprano 1.
Bayport-Blue Point will also be represented at the 2026 Suffolk County Music Educators Association All-County Jazz Festival. High school selections include Kaylee D., soprano; Landon H., tenor; Yalani M., alto; and London O., soprano.
At the middle school level, Riley D. and Quinn G. were selected as altos, Luke H. as a tenor and Ella M. as a soprano for the SCMEA All-County Jazz Festival.
The district congratulates these student-musicians on earning the opportunity to represent Bayport-Blue Point alongside talented performers from across Suffolk County and New York State.
