This summer, the Bayport-Blue Point School District is once again hosting Inclusive Sports and Fitness (ISF), Inc., welcoming students from BBP and neighboring school districts for a summer of fitness and fun.
ISF provides individuals of all abilities with a safe, supportive environment where they can stay active, build confidence and develop lifelong healthy habits. Throughout the program, athletes are paired with peer mentors who offer encouragement, friendship and support. Mentors range from middle school and high school students to college-aged volunteers.
Each day, the athletes and their mentors take part in a variety of activities that promote both physical fitness and social connection. Whether they're walking or jogging on the track, playing games and sports, practicing yoga or doing crafts together, participants are encouraged to stay active while building meaningful relationships.
