Bayport-Blue Point’s future kindergarteners are getting excited for the school year through the district’s Kindergarten Readiness Program!
During this week's Kindergarten Readiness Program, students practiced scissor safety and cutting straight and curved lines before creating a fun project featuring the letters of their names. The letter of the day was D, so they enjoyed reading “If You Give a Dog a Donut” and wrapped up the lesson by adding the correct number of colorful "sprinkles" to their very own paper donuts.
With each activity, these young learners are building the confidence and foundational skills they'll need for a successful start to kindergarten this fall.
