Students share origin stories with final Heroes and Villains project

Bayport-Blue Point High School students in the Heroes and Villains English elective showcased their creative storytelling skills with their final project. After exploring Joseph Campbell’s “The Hero’s Journey” and studying archetypes in stories from mythology to Marvel, students used what they learned to create their own original characters. Each one came with a unique backstory, personality and motivation. At their final symposium, students shared their characters with classmates, showing off both their creativity and their understanding of what makes heroes and villains so compelling in storytelling.
