The Bayport-Blue Point High School Dance Team brought the energy to Blue Point Elementary, leading a fun-filled workshop for second and third graders. The visit was part of the school’s monthly social-emotional learning period, where students can choose activities that spark their interests, from art projects to games and more. This time, the spotlight was on dance.
Students kicked things off with across-the-floor warmups before learning a short, upbeat routine taught by the high school dancers. Along the way, they built confidence, practiced teamwork and, most importantly, had a great time moving and learning together.
The collaboration gave younger students a chance to try something new while connecting with older peers, making it a memorable experience for all involved.
