At its Jan. 27 meeting, the Bayport-Blue Point Board of Education recognized the high school students who organized this year’s BBP Community & Cocoa 5K Fun Run and Walk. Now in its fourth year, the event was a tremendous success thanks to the dedication and teamwork of student organizers Phoebe B., Aila C., Alexander C., Angela C., Anna G., Abby H., Kylie J., Charlotte J., Brady N., Jhanvi P. and Jackson Z.
The Board also celebrated student creativity, honoring Mason G. as the winner of the event’s T-shirt design contest and Ellison P. for the winning ornament design that was distributed to participants. Together, these students’ efforts helped make this year’s Community & Cocoa 5K a memorable experience for the Bayport-Blue Point community.
