Bayport-Blue Point School District

Bayport-Blue Point High School is continuously looking for ways to diversify the already robust physical education offerings. Recently, 60 students enrolled in the school’s Spin Fusion classes took a field trip to Pure Barre in Bayport, where owner Sara Kuhar taught four barre/cardio classes.

“It was a great chance for the students to experience a different type of fitness workout than I can offer them at the high school Spin Fusion class,” Physical Education Chairperson Ms. Livingston said. “It is also great exposure to a community resource.”

Ms. Livingston added that the students really enjoyed the class, and it was much more challenging than they had expected. Several students are even considering becoming members of the studio.
