The Bayport-Blue Point School District celebrated an important milestone for its students during moving up ceremonies held for fifth graders at Sylvan Avenue, Blue Point and Academy Street elementary schools, as well as eighth graders at James Wilson Young Middle School.
Surrounded by proud family members, teachers and administrators, students were recognized for their growth and academic, artistic, athletic and personal accomplishments as they prepare to take the next step in their educational journeys. Fifth graders were honored as they move on to middle school, while James Wilson Young Middle School’s eighth graders marked the transition to Bayport-Blue Point High School.
The ceremonies were filled with applause and heartwarming moments as each school congratulated students on all they have achieved and wished them continued success in the years ahead.
