The Books and Beyond program is a school-wide reading incentive program which helps families promote life-long reading in their homes. Families commit to having their children read (or be read to) for a total of 100 minutes a week, or 400 minutes each month. The program runs from November through March. Each month, students are provided with a reading calendar to record the titles and authors of the books they read every day. Students who participate in all five months of the program will be invited to participate in a celebration of their reading success.
Peer Leaders is an after-school program for fourth and fifth grade students. The focus of the peer leader program is to encourage students to become involved in the school community and to set an excellent example of student leadership for the younger students. The students participate in many fundraising programs throughout the school year. Peer Leaders usually meet the first and third Tuesdays of each month.
This club is student-centered focusing on all aspects of a person’s well-being including the social, emotional, and physical aspects of being healthy. The club promotes nutrition and physical activity while addressing the social and emotional needs of the entire school community.
