Physical education classes at Bayport-Blue Point High School ended a monthlong volleyball unit with a Candy Cane Tournament, held on Dec. 22.

Students in grades 9-12, comprised of 17 teams, competed for the gold ball trophy. Participants were chosen based on their physical education volleyball class standings.

Physical Education Chairperson Tricia Livingston explained that the teams are a mix of athletes and non-athletes.

“Anyone who plays has a chance of winning,” she said.
