During the Feb. 7 meeting of the Board of Education, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Timothy Hearney announced the Bayport-Blue Point Teachers’ Association Teachers of the Month from September 2022 through January 2023.

Dr. Hearney read kind comments about the recipients written by colleagues, stating why each was deserving of this high honor. He defined the Teachers of the Month as faculty “that really make the Bayport-Blue Point School District great.”

It is with great pleasure and pride that the district recognizes Teachers of the Month:

September 2022 – Mr. Zaleski – Academy Street Elementary School

October 2022 – Ms. Kelly – Blue Point Elementary School

November 2022 – Ms. Carpenter – Sylvan Avenue Elementary School

December 2022 – Ms. Carroll – James Wilson Young Middle School

January 2023 – Ms. Serraino – Bayport-Blue Point High School
