The New York State Public High School Athletic Association, Inc. named Bayport-Blue Point High School one of 148 schools across the state a 2021-2022 Scholar-Athlete School of Excellence. To receive this honor, 75 percent of a school’s athletic teams must receive a collective GPA of 90 percent or higher. The school will receive a plaque to commemorate this outstanding achievement.

According to Director of Physical Education, Health and Interscholastic Sports Timothy Mullins, 22 Bayport-Blue Point High School teams were named scholar-athlete teams during the 2021-2022 school year.

“This is a testament to our high school administration, teaching staff and the students who know what it means to be successful.” Mr. Mullins said. “The sports program is an extension of the classroom.”
