Student Art League

On Tuesday, October 21 the Student Art League went on a field trip to the local merchants in Bayport and Blue Point. Mr. Salino and 47 students broke up into 5 groups and painted more than 30 storefronts with Fall and Halloween themes. The whole district was decorated from Tony’s Pizza in the west to the Bayport/Blue Point Library in the east and to the south with Legends deli and Country Junque among others. All the merchants were wonderful, many giving the student artists food and beverage and all giving words of encouragement. All of the student artists enjoyed the day and learned how much the local community supports our art program at Bayport/Blue Point High School. Mr. Salino would like to thank all the storeowners who participated and offer our services again for next year.
