Job Shadow Day 2010
On November 16th, eleventh grade students from Bayport-Blue Point High School took part in the districts bi-annual job-shadowing event. The students spent their day at a workplace of their choice shadowing an employee/mentor from that specific business. Each participant was able to choose from a list of local businesses including our local schools. This was an opportunity for students to experience the real world firsthand. This is the third year for the shadowing event, which was introduced to the district by Dr. Hearney and has been coordinated by Mr. Monsell. Once again Job Shadow Day was a huge success, leaving everyone looking forward to February 2nd!
