Principal's Message

“Who aims at excellence will be above mediocrity; who aims at mediocrity will be far short of it.”

It is hard to believe that we are in the process of already planning for the next academic school year, 2012-2013. It is our philosophy to form a partnership with you, which we believe will not only ensure your child’s success at the high school level, but will prepare him or her for the next phase of life. Whether it is in the world of work or the college environment, this partnership is essential for your child’s future success. Therefore, when planning and selecting courses for next year, every student and parent/guardian should keep the following in mind:

1. What do I need to take in terms of courses that not only challenge myself academically, but keep me on pace to receive an Advanced Regents Diploma upon graduation?

2. Since there are no study halls at the high school, I need to select enough courses for a full course load.

We hope that notifying you of what is contained in the catalog will ensure that you make decisions that not only prepare you for the future, but help you select courses that are of an interest to you. Please feel free to contact the High School Counseling Center with any questions.
