In recognition of Earth Day, this April James Wilson Young Middle School’s Ecology Club coordinated a schoolwide initiative focused on creating a greener tomorrow. The club members distributed paper leaves to their peers and asked that they inscribe them with pledges on what they could do to “go green” – in other words, help conserve resources or help the environment. The completed pledges were compiled and put on display in the shape of a tree in the main lobby, which served as a visual reminder of the students’ commitments.
