Members of the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team recently visited the students of Blue Point Elementary School for an informative session about not giving up despite the obstacles that life may present.

The athletes inspired hope as they explained how losing their limbs had not prevented them from living their lives to the fullest. To test their physical endurance, team member Greg Reynolds challenged students to see how many pushups they could complete against him. The students also had the opportunity to ask the wounded warriors about their lives and thanked them for their service to the country.

Additionally, Councilman Neil Foley stopped by the school to thank the Warriors and explain the importance of their service to the United States.

According to its website, the Wounded Warriors Project aims to honor and empower wounded warriors who have been injured and lost limbs while fighting to protect the country.
