The Bayport-Blue Point High School congratulates four students who recently qualified to take part in the Distributive Education Clubs of America’s state competition, slated to take place sometime in March, based on their excellent results from a preliminary examination.

The students are Chris Kunsch (Personal Financial Literacy), Logan Robertson (Principles of Marketing), Annelise Schreiber (Personal Financial Literacy) and Nick Venero (Principles of Finance).

According to their website, DECA has prepared emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the world since its inception in 1947.

“It is a real treat to see our students rewarded for putting themselves out there and testing their knowledge against the rest of the county,” said Thomas Oswold, Bayport-Blue Point High School business teacher and DECA adviser.
