Bayport-Blue Point High School is proud to announce Emily Sarich and Stephanie Warnken as the Class of 2012 valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively. Both students have attended the district for the duration of their academic careers and have worked diligently to achieve high levels of success.

Sarich boasts an exceptional and well-rounded resume that reflects a variety of school and community activities. As the recipient of numerous honors and awards, the standout senior was named an AP Scholar with Distinction and placed among the top five at the regional and state levels of the New York State Science Olympiad competition. She plans to study environmental science at Middlebury College in Vermont this fall.

Equally impressive are the accomplishments of Warnken, an AP Scholar with Distinction who placed in the top three in the New York State Science Olympiad Regional Competition. Athletically, she has earned All-League and All-County status as a volleyball player and has played on the high school’s softball and basketball teams. A third-generation Bayport-Blue Point High School graduate, Warnken will be attending Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y. to complete a double major in mathematics and physics.
