The 2012-13 budget was supported by residents in the Bayport-Blue Point School District on May 15 by a vote of 1773 to 808. Thank you to all residents who participated in this important vote.

In addition to voting on the school budget, community members voted on two special ballot propositions. Proposition 2 called for a decrease in the number of Board of Education members from seven to five. The proposition failed by a vote of 715 to 856.

Proposition 3 asked voters to approve the increase of mileage limits for private/parochial school transportation. The proposition failed by a vote of 450 to 2114.

In addition to the aforementioned voting items, members of the community were asked to cast their ballots for three seats on the Board of Education.

Seat 1 – Trustee Rebecca Campbell - 1377 votes Andrea O’Neill - 1080 votes

Seat 2 – John Lynch - 1709 votes Michael Miller - 770 votes

Seat 3 – Trustee Bill Milligan - 1296 votes Jane Burgess - 1172 votes
