The district’s incoming ninth-grade students were given a glimpse of what to expect over the next four years of their academic careers during a brief orientation in late August.

Principal Dr. Gaurav Passi commenced the program by asking the students to envision where they pictured themselves after high school, whether it be in a four-year college or joining the workforce after graduation, and assured them that the school would provide the support needed to achieve that goal.

Reflecting on their own high school experiences, seniors Abby Auwaerter, Sierra Bianchini and Emily de Onis lent a student voice to the program by imparting a few pieces of advice, describing what the freshman class could expect this year and emphasizing the importance of getting involved.

Following the informational session, members of the high school’s peer leaders program conducted building tours and helped their younger peers open their lockers for the first time.
