Supporting St. Baldrick’s

James Wilson Young Middle School helped to spread awareness of childhood cancers and raise funds for research during the school’s annual St. Baldrick’s event this March.

Many students, residents and staff members volunteered to shed their locks during the event as the building collectively raised $17,283 to benefit the cause.

This year’s event was once again held in honor of current eighth-grader Marco Daidone, who suffered from osteosarcoma.
