Warming Up the Winter

Bayport-Blue Point High School helped to create warm memories for children at the Head Start Program in Patchogue this winter by organizing a pajama drive.

The initiative, sponsored by the school’s student council, called for individuals to donate children’s books and pajamas to the 115 children aged 3-5 served by the program.

As a result of the program’s overwhelming success, the school was able to also donate items to an outreach program at a local church, St. Christopher Ottlie, which is affiliated with a foster care program, as well as to the Toys for Tots program.
