Warming Holidays

Bayport-Blue Point High School student council coordinated a highly successful pajama drive for a homeless shelter that assists Long Island families.

During the event, the group collected 165 pairs of children’s sleepwear and age-appropriate books for HELP Suffolk in Bellport. This establishment is a Tier II homeless shelter that provides temporary housing for 76 families. Members of the student council had the opportunity to help deliver the donations just before the holiday season and meet with several families benefiting from the organization’s services.
