Bayport-Blue Point High School students continually strive to achieve academic excellence, and many embrace the opportunity to enroll in the district’s most challenging courses of study. As a result of this commitment, 76 current and former (Class of 2014) students have been named AP Scholars by the College Board.

With an average score of at least 4 on all AP exams taken and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams, five 2014 BBPHS graduates were named National AP Scholars. Thirty-two past and current students were named AP Scholars with Distinction for earning average scores of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. Seventeen students were named AP Scholars with Honor for earning an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. Twenty-two students were named AP Scholars based on earning scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams.

Bayport-Blue Point’s AP program offers 16 courses spanning content areas that engage students in intense discussions, problem-solving concepts and collaborative activities. These offerings give students the opportunity to earn college credit and priority placement to stand out in the admissions process.
