Bayport-Blue Point administrators and Board of Education members recently commended the efforts of two robotics teams – Brainstormers and Tesla Empire.  – comprised of district students. The Team members received certificates of recognition at a recent Board meeting and were honored for the outstanding accomplishments they realized during this year’s competition season.

The Brainstormers qualified and attended this year’s World Expo in St. Louis, where they received the Lil’ Einstein Award. During the competition, the team presented their model and show me poster to two reviewers, each of whom were impressed with their knowledge of their topic on hurricane preparation, how they built their model and how they worked as a team. Additionally, the team was able to meet with other students from across the United States as well as countries around the world. On the final day, participating teams were invited to march in a parade on the field before a St. Louis Cardinal game at Busch Stadium.
