Fifth graders at Sylvan Avenue Elementary School recently spread holiday cheer by decorating picture frames for Hope for Youth, a nonprofit organization that provides programs for at-risk children and teens in foster care. Sylvan became aware of Hope for Youth through one of the students’ parents, who is involved with the charity. The embellished frames were filled with photos of the foster children posing with Santa and then wrapped and given to them as special holiday gifts.
